Plans have been announced to build a better future for the students at Robert Ogden School through the development of new, specialised facilities.

The school, which caters to autistic children and young people, is set to undergo significant improvements to create a more supportive and inclusive learning environment.

These new facilities are being designed with the specific needs of autistic students in mind, featuring sensory-friendly spaces and advanced technology to aid communication and learning.

The goal is to provide a setting where every student can thrive and reach their full potential.

The project is part of a wider commitment by the National Autistic Society to enhance the quality of education and support available to neurodivergent pupils.

Staff at the school are working closely with architects and specialists to ensure that the new buildings meet the highest standards of accessibility and functionality.

This investment reflects a growing recognition of the importance of providing tailored environments that respect and accommodate the unique sensory profiles of autistic person.

The new facilities are expected to provide long-term benefits for the students, their families, and the wider community.
