New educational statistics reveal alarming trends showing that nearly two thirds of school staff are deeply worried about their ability to keep children with special educational needs safe.
The comprehensive study highlights a growing crisis within the education sector, where severe underfunding and a chronic lack of specialised training are pushing mainstream schools to breaking point.
Teachers report feeling ill equipped to manage the complex requirements of neurodivergent students, leading to increased anxiety for both staff and the pupils they support.
The data points to a systemic failure to provide adequate resources, resulting in overcrowded classrooms and insufficient support staff to monitor and assist vulnerable children effectively.
Educational professionals are urgently calling for an immediate overhaul of the funding model and mandatory, high quality neurodiversity training for all educators.
