In recognition of Neurodiversity Celebration Week 2026, which runs from 16 to 22 March, partner agencies across Coventry and Warwickshire have united to champion neuroinclusive practices.
The collaboration involves local councils, the NHS, and parent - carer organisations, all working to reshape public understanding of conditions like autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and dyspraxia.
The initiative highlights that approximately one in five people are neurodivergent, yet they frequently face barriers in education and the workplace due to a lack of environmental adjustments.
This year's programme focuses on the theme of equity and universal design, encouraging organisations to move beyond simple awareness toward meaningful action.
Planned activities include virtual events and webinars aimed at teachers and employers to help them create environments where neurodivergent people can thrive.
Leaders involved in the project emphasise that neurodiversity is a natural part of human difference that brings unique strengths to society.
By focusing on inclusive leadership and organisational change, the region hopes to set a standard for how public services and private businesses can better support their neurodivergent citizens and employees.
