George Lynn is powerfully demonstrating that "no diagnosis can dictate destiny".
For the past decade he has worked in his "dream job" as a pharmacy delivery driver at a Wegmans store in Mount Laurel, New Jersey.
Diagnosed with autism at age 3, he was always determined not to be defined by his 'label'.
He began in an entry-level position and, with advocacy support from The Arc of Camden, he successfully worked his way up to his current role.
"They taught me how to follow through.
to make sure I was able to get the job," Lynn says.
His store manager emphasizes that they "hire people for their heart".
Lynn now uses his experience to motivate others, travelling to speak about his disability and the positive impact of supported employment.
"Autism does not stop you," he says, hoping his story will inspire other people with autism to actively pursue their goals.
