A non-profit group in Baltimore has launched a program that provides clients with meal kits to address the current lapse in the US Government's SNAP food benefits program, and to also help them learn cooking skills.

The Woodberry-based company, Itineris Baltimore, supports adults on the spectrum and has recently launched its Thrive Box program.

The meal boxes are similar to meal kits like HelloFresh and Blue Apron, allowing participants in Itineris' residential program to choose ingredients to create fresh, nutritious meals free of charge.
